How does this work?

Through our university partnerships, our MSW (Master of Social Work) Intern Program provides a unique opportunity for up-and-coming social workers to hone in their skills while closing the service gaps in the community.

Our MSW interns are supervised and trained in a variety of therapeutic models including but not limited to: 

  • Solution Focused Therapy

  • Problem Solving Therapy

  • Motivational Interviewing

  • ​

MSW interns provide a variety of support services to youth and families through our community partners.

Our MSW Intern Program brings mental health and wellness services to youth and their families in the community where they already are, literally.

Through our partnership universities, the Social & Emotional Wellness Initiative provies a variety of services to youth in our communities. We seek to foster social & emotional wellness while closing service gaps among youth and their families.

The MSW Intern Program provides a unique opportunity for up-and-coming social workers to hone their skills in providing services to youth and their families in need, while closing service gaps in the community. Through this program, SEWI aims to not only fill gaps in the current service industry, but to also prepare social workers to continue closing the gaps in years to come. Additionally, through our MSW Internship program, MSW Interns (graduate level students earning their Master of Social Work degree) are given the opportunity to learn and implement therapeutic models from in the classroom and including but not limited to:
